Roberts Mangum & Bennett Referral Incentive Program — Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 01/19/2026

1. Participation

• The Roberts Mangum & Bennett Referral Program is voluntary.
• Participation does not create an employment or contractor relationship with Roberts Mangum & Bennett.

1. Eligibility / Scope

• Referrers may only refer new clients (individuals or businesses who have not previously done business with Roberts Mangum & Bennett).
• Only tax preparation services (personal and business) are eligible for referral rewards.
• Referrals for other services are not eligible.

1. Referral Limits and Rewards

• Each referrer may refer up to 10 new clients.
• Eligible referrals may receive $100 per successful referral.
• Maximum reward per referrer: $1,000.

1. Successful Referral — Definition and Timing

• A referral is considered successful when the referred client:
  
  • is a new client to Roberts Mangum & Bennett, and
  • completes the tax preparation engagement, and
  • pays in full for the tax preparation services.
• The $100 reward will be paid 30 days after the referred client’s payment is completed and verified.

1. Duplicate Referral — Definition

• A referral is considered a duplicate and is ineligible when the referred person matches an existing referral in our records by either:
  
  • Full name (first and last) + email address, or
  • Full name (first and last) + phone number.
• Roberts Mangum & Bennett may use additional corroborating information (e.g., date of birth or mailing address) to verify duplicates when necessary.
• If a match is found under either combination, the referral will be treated as a duplicate.

1. Ineligible Referrals

• The following are not eligible for a reward:
  
  • duplicate referrals (as defined above),
  • fraudulent referrals,
  • referrals for services that are not completed or paid,
  • referrals made by the referrer for themselves,
  • referrals of clients who are not new to Roberts Mangum & Bennett.

1. Payout Method

• Referrers may choose their payout method: mailed check, direct deposit, or transfer.
• Payout details will be requested and verified prior to payment.

1. Tax Reporting

• If total payouts to a referrer reach $600 or more in a calendar year:
  
  • a W‑9 will be required, and
  • a 1099‑NEC will be issued for tax reporting purposes.
• Issuance of a 1099‑NEC does not imply employment or contractor status.

1. Verification and Disputes

• All referrals and payouts are subject to verification by Roberts Mangum & Bennett.
• The business reserves the right to deny rewards it determines to be ineligible, duplicate, or fraudulent.
• Decisions on eligibility are at the business’s discretion.

1. Program Changes and Termination

• The business owner may modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time, with or without prior notice.
• Changes will apply prospectively to future referrals.

1. Fee Responsibility & Payment Accuracy

• By participating, the referrer acknowledges that Roberts Mangum & Bennett is not responsible for payment processing fees, transfer fees, banking fees, PayPal/Stripe fees, or other charges associated with receiving the payout.
• It is the referrer’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete payout information, including mailing address and/or banking details.
• Roberts Mangum & Bennett is not responsible for:
  
  • payments sent to incorrect accounts or addresses due to inaccurate information provided by the referrer, or
  • checks that are lost, delayed, or misdelivered by postal services or other carriers.
• Roberts Mangum & Bennett is not liable for delays or failure to issue payments caused by events beyond its reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, government actions, system outages, force majeure).
